Amazing Pictures From Students at Gregory Elementary School

Earlier this month I posted about the book event developed by the Center for Child and Family Achievement (CCFA Trenton) at Gregory Elementary School. I also posted that I would upload all the students pictures onto this site. I absolutely loved their pictures and could see future illustrators. So here they go:

Children's Book Festival with CCFA Trenton

Too cool

On Friday, June 3, 2016, I was invited by the Center for Child and Family Achievement (CCFA Trenton) to be a part of the Children's Book Festival at Gregory Elementary School. The event was amazing. I had the opportunity of reading to four group of students, which had approximately 10-25 students in each group. The experience was amazing. The students asked questions, told me about their birthdays, reminisced about jumping rope, and talked about trying to convince their families in letting them stay the night over their houses. All of these things were great and things that were discussed in the book All in Together Girls.

The really interesting part was when the students discussed the month of February and the different things they did for their parents during Valentine's Day. I heard them discuss buying them flowers, taking them out to different, and doing other things that expressed appreciation.

I really enjoyed hearing their stories and have them draw pictures of what they heard from the book. Check back later this month for all of their pictures posted.

Children's Book Festival 2016

Did you hear? ADC Kid and Hampton Publishing House, LLC has acquired all of our Featured Authors for the Children's Book Festival in September. The picture above displays the books for 11 authors who will be in attendance in September, which includes Featured Authors and Regular Authors. Fun at Ferry Avenue Branch Library

Yesterday, I participated in the Children's Book Fun Shop developed by +ADC Kid ™. I had the opportunity to read All in Together Girls to a group of 20-25 students between the ages of 5 -16 years old. It was a great experience reading to the students, asking them questions about the book, and hearing their answers. They were full of life, asked questions, and jumped at the chance to create crafts for their mother and about the book. See more below in regards to the book reading and activities.
