The Book

All in Together Girls is a children's book that displays and discusses two cousins who play a childhood jump rope game. The cousins take you on a journey to the steps necessary in competing in a Double Dutch Tournament. This book allows children to learn the names of each month and experience the activities and weather associated with those months. Shay and Jaye will have you ready to take out your Double Dutch rope, laugh, and sing with them in their journey down memory lane.

All in Together Girls Reading

On Tuesday, November 24, 2015 I read All in Together Girls to the children at Easter Seals Center and Southeast Ohio. These little kids were so adorable. I had the pleasure of reading my storybook to four groups of students, which consisted of about 10-20 students in each group. They were between the ages of 3-5 years old.

My favorite part of reading the book was when I talked with the kids about the book, the costumes of the characters, and if they had any questions. Their responses were classic, such as: their birthdays being in November, the characters being dressed up as pumpkins, and having a question, but not really having a question.

I would definitely be up to reading to these children again in the near future.

Children's Book Festival

Recently, ADC Kid and Hampton Publishing House submitted information to Ferry Avenue Branch Library to implement a Children's Book Festival in Camden, New Jersey. The request was accepted. With this being said, we are working on preparing a program/ad booklet for the event. This would give people and businesses an opportunity to support the literacy movement of encouraging children to read and connecting children with authors of the books they read.
If you or your business is interested in being listed in the program/ad booklet, please reply to this email.

Feel free to forward this information to other individuals who you think may also be interested in participating. All material included in the ad book will have to be child friendly material. Please refer the the flyer to your left.

Children's Book Fun Shop

On Friday, September 4, 2015, Melica Niccole participated in an event developed byADC Kid and Ferry Ave Branch Library. The event was a Children Book Fun Shop for individuals between the ages of 5 to 12. The fun shop was amazing. ADCKid is a "company dedicated to the advancement of empowering and enlightening though literacy, fitness, and animation.

Much of the company's strategic focus was displayed at the fun shop. The kids danced, listened, sang, drew, and socialized. The program even had teenagers and adults participating in the event. The children were so full of life and had no worries.

It was a delight working with ADC Kid. Stay tuned for future events that I will be attending.

Follow Melica on FacebookTwitter, and my personal website.

All in Together Girls

Excited about the Children Fun Shop that I will be doing in Camden, New Jersey on Friday, September 4, 2015. I will be raffling off two kid's shirts from the book. The kids between the ages of 5 to 12 will complete a kids activity with me and then put together a small little goodie bag.

All in Together Girls is about a childhood jump rope game that some kids use to play as children. It teaches children about all the months, the weather associated with those months, how to work in a team, and that it is ok to lose. If you are in the area, check it out. Bring your kids, nieces, nephews, and friends.
